Curtain one.
Although Winter may be short here in Northern NSW, dealing with heating an open plan environment is a challenge. I have posted other images of the special wall to wall suction bar which goes just about up to the ceiling. It is actually a stage lighting product which I have adapted, as I look for things that will serve my current facilitator role from the audio visual past.
As I have said before, a Lighting, Sound, and Sacred Geometry session is properly prepared with the right temperature and comfort for the person. Hence the body is able to rest, the mind doesn’t have to worry about it, and the inner journey is much easier.
However, as in life, there is always the exception. “Murphy’s Law” occasionally pops up and will display odd things. Reports from feedback files have described that “the top of me was warm, but my back was freezing”. Other people have had heaters, blankets, socks, the lot, and sometimes report that afterwards that they were ice cold! Then there are those who get too hot, not an issue too much in Winter.
I myself, am no stranger to events personally experienced. Often, (and remember I am not inside the S1 having the session, but behind a screen running things) my body will get hot all over. Of course, I have a water bottle close by to help me out here.
The rule is “expect the unexpected”, and that goes beyond just temperature. The inner journey is unknown until experienced, and no matter what the mind decides beforehand, what happens will happen regardless.
As you can imagine, the setting up preparation before is a task that is time consuming, and electrical energy wise too. I will usually start setting up an hour and a half before a person arrives, having an intent to go through the checklist totally. Computers, lighting control, sound server curtains, heater settings, aromatiser, cleanliness etc. That’s why I ask always for 24 hours notice of cancellation, unless on emergency.
