Often I tell people that what I do within a Soniques therapy session is stress management. However, by this description it is rather limiting.
If there was time for full explanations, it would revolve around that the results depend on what the person’s state of being was prior to engagement.
If I look at my own experience, I would relate that if before a personal session, I was exhausted from work or whatever activity I was engaged, I would tend to be not conscious of all of my surroundings until completion.
This is because the easiest way to achieve a “recharge” of rejuvenation status, is for the mind not to be present. If I take the analogy of a mobile phone, it will recharge more quickly if it is not actively engaged in tasks and is in standby mode, no screen on.
A person will similarly, get more beneficial rejuvenation, if the mind is not engaged. As the mind is responsible for stress, if it is out of the way then a greater efficiency occurs. This happens normally in a Soniques session unless the person is an experienced meditator.
People may have the mental mindset to declare that they are not stressed, but completely normal and do not need any therapy at all, but these people will still go to health and relaxation retreats. The mind will attempt always to tell you that everything is all right and that your concept of “normal” needs to be retained under all conditions. This keeps your individual ego alive.
In truth, the ego is always keeping the status quo, whereas transcending the mind reveals a huge expansion of reality consciousness. I notice that women are much more adventurous in venturing to have a Soniques session than men, who feel that they must “remain strong” under all conditions. However, as I have discussed previously, the act of “letting go” is always going to serve the expansion of consciousness.
The bottom line though, for a beneficial result via a Soniques session, is that it doesn’t matter what your mind’s stance is.
An experienced meditator can remain fully present during a session, even though the thinking may be hardly happening at all. In my own experience, being present and aware of my being, is most beneficial and rejuvenating, like having a “spiritual wash”. We all go to the bathroom several times a day for our physical body’s needs, but how many of us also consider looking after the bigger picture. We are not the body, and not the mind, a discoverable requisite in our ongoing human journey.
